Ardentinny Community Trust Ltd folds due to lack of support
Ardentinny Community Trust Ltd held its final AGM in December 2008. While the usual agenda topics were duly covered, i.e, Minutes of the last meeting; Matters arising; Chairman's and Treasurer's reports, which included The Ardentinny Community Futures Community Profile which can be downloaded here; and Any Other Business, the main thrust of the meeting was the future of the Trust. In the event of office bearers' and committee members' resignations and a lack of response to the call for new volunteers, the position of the Community Trust was untenable and therefore those present agreed it should be officially dissolved. From its inception, Trust committee members, past and present, have worked hard for the local community, liaising with the various authorities to try and fulfil its wishes. The possibility still exists for it to be re-established at some point in the future.

Ardentinny Day of Information and Imagination
On Sunday 1st July, 2007, Ardentinny Community Trust Ltd. hosted an Open Day
of Information and Imagination where a variety of residents' proposals
for the future of the village were exhibited. These included the
restoration of the Victorian walled garden; a Viking-themed children's
play area; development of a jetty and moorings; affordable housing with
enhanced meadow and beach path; and a flower meadow.
Helen MacDougall and Alan Bauer of the Community Land Unit; Gordon
Donaldson and Stuart Chalmers of the Forestry Commission with Peter
Clark, Land agent for Forestry Enterprise and Ceci Alderton of Loch
Lomond and the Trossachs National Park were present to advise on plans
and possibilities. The Trust also exhibited information on its past and
ongoing projects.
The event was very well attended by local residents who were able to
discuss proposals, enjoy a cup of tea and give feedback on their views
and preferences.
